Gearing for Mythic+
Our stat weights may differ from raid, but fortunately there is some overlap on the gear we want, especially when it comes to Azerite pieces and trinkets.

Best In Slot Trinkets

Drops from: Ny'alotha (Ra-den)
This is the best proc trinket in the game for nearly everyone. What makes it so strong is that it's all haste, and will even provide your allies with some haste as well. Since this has no intellect and overall provides a much more significant boost to your group then a purely personal proc trinket, it is definitely our best in slot.
Drops from: Ny'alotha (Wrathion)
This is a slightly more standard proc trinket with a twist. It has very high uptime and the speed it provides is actually extremely strong for mythic+. If you're running Ineffable Truth then this + vita will be your BIS trinket combo.
Drops from: Alchemy
The pure ilvl plus socket from Alchemy Stone makes it a naturally strong choice, plus it has main stat versatility which is much stronger for us then intellect. Then add the bonus for health pots and it becomes one of our BIS trinkets for M+, as you should be constantly utilizing health pots in dungeons.
Drops from: Ny'alotha (N'Zoth)
If you aren't running Ineffable Truth (one of our BIS corruptions), the 1.5 minute on use lines up perfect with wings making this a huge boost to our burst inside of wings. If you are running Ineffable Truth, do not run this or any other on use trinkets. With cloak ranks now at 15, you don't need to worry about positioning for optimal value from the on use since the crit loss is very minimal and the vers gain has a huge range. If you still want to track the value you're getting, use this weakaura.
Drops from: Ny'alotha (Maut)
Claw will provide a lot of great single target priority damage, which makes it a great pick for tyrannical. The mana back is nice but not a very big benefit since we shouldn't have any issues with mana in Mythic+, so you really only want this trinket for the priority dps.
Drops from: Eternal Palace (Ashvane)
This is a trinket from last tier (so it's baseline 445 and can warforge to 455), but it still provides a lot of aoe damage throughout a dungeon if you use it's effect well. Cast it on the furthest mob or your ranged ally to min/max the trinkets effect. Solid trinket for pumping damage on Fortified weeks, but not very good for Tyrannical.
Drops from: Shrine of the Storm
Everybody loves Conch. Always a great fallback trinket if you don't have some of the better options. The crit proc is decent, but obviously like any other proc trinket it's not very reliable.
Drops from: Tortollan Emissary
Although this trinket caps out in item level at 445, it's still a solid on use (provided you aren't running any Ineffable Truth corruption). If you use this you'll want to pop wings first (macro this into wings), then pop Holy Avenger 10 seconds into wings, that way you have huge haste for the entirity of your wings.
Corruption Affixes
Corruption is the new system that replaces titanforging (yet somehow 10x more RNG). So instead of titanforging, items can now become Corrupted, which provides us with a buff at the cost of corruption. To read a full guide on how corruption works, check out wowhead's guide. Below is a list of the corruption buffs that we'll be seeking out most for mythic+ (you CAN have more then one of the same corruption buff). Blizzard currently has no idea what they're doing with tuning on these things and then seem to be just wildly nerfing and buffing random stuff so check this section regularly for up to date info. If you're pushing high keys, stay under 40 total corruption. Having to waste HoJ / Blinding on things from beyond is definitely not smart for us since we're heavily reliant on that utility for tank/group damage prevention.
Currently, the best setup for pushing keys is to run one rank 3 Twilight Dev, then fill the rest of your corruption with Ineffable rank 1's (up to 39 total corruption, DO NOT EXCEED THAT).
Chance to increase recovery rate of cooldowns.
With the amount of haste you run in Mythic+, your first breakpoint is 90%, which will allow you to cast HS > CS > HS (wings rotation) when you don't have wings up (view breakpoints). Ideally only want rank 1's because rank 2 has a very high corruption cost.
Chance to deal damage to enemies in front of you.
Twilight has a knack for pulling mobs you don't want pulled, but it's sheer damage output in mythic+ is too high to not risk wearing it. It will do massive damage throughout a dungeon and doesn't scale with item level, so even a lower ilvl piece with TD will be a big upgrade.
Increases critical damage and healing.
Stacking this will provide you with a lot of throughput from both a damage and healing perspective as we run very heavy crit for mythic+ and have guarenteed crits during wings and from the new Spirit of Preservation essence.
Chance to deal damage to nearby enemies.
Twisted Appendage and Gushing Wounds will do lots of priority target damage, making them strong choices for dungeons like Siege, Workshop, KR, or any dungeon on Tyrannical. These corruptions both scale with item level, so try to get them on high ilvl gear. After the nerf to GW, TA is the stronger of the two in most situations.
After these the general tier list would be Severe (if below 35% crit) > Avoidance > Void Ritual > Deadly Momentum > Echoing Void > Non Mastery Stat Procs > Haste/Vers Stat % > Leech > Infinite Stars > Glimpse of Clarity.
Mechagon Rings
With the release of 8.3, Operation Mechagon can now be played as a mythic+ dungeon, split into two 4 boss dungeons. This means all the loot from Operation Mechagon will now be scaled to max mythic+ item level, making the set piece rings the strongest rings in the game for most classes and specs. To make the set work you need a trigger ring (logic loop) and an effect ring (bit band). Our strongest ones are listed below in order of importance.
BIS "IF" Logic Loops

If you damage an enemy while you are behind them...
The best logic loop for us is Division since we are always in melee attacking enemies whether we are healing or dpsing. Make sure you're fighting mobs from behind (you should be doing this anyways to avoid frontal attacks and being parried).
If you use 3 different spells or abilities on the same target...
The Recursion logic loop is great for single target healing or damage, but in aoe packs where we're spreading glimmer for damage or healing, this ring loses a lot of uptime. It still comes in second, but is a decent amount behind Division.
If you heal a target whose health is below 50%...
Our last decent option for logic loops is Synergy. This is the healer specific one but it has a significantly lower uptime then the previous two as you can only proc it if someone is in serious danger which should not be happening frequently.
BIS "THEN" Bit Bands

...then you gain 128 Haste for 15 seconds.
The Overclocking effect is definitely the strongest and most versitile of the set options. Haste has always been one of our best stats for damage and healing so any time you get this proc you should be able to make great use of it.
...then you heal up to 5 injured allies.
Although this doesn't help our damage directly, having a constant passive group wide heal helps you to have to heal less, which in turn means you get to dps more. This is not as strong as Overclocking but is a good second option.
...then you deal damage to a nearby enemy.
The damage this contributes is not hugely significant, but it's better then nothing. Try getting Overclocking or Rebooting but if you can't get either, slap this one on for a small damage boost.
Professions

Engineering is one of the most important things you can pick up to prepare for mythic+ as a holy paladin because it gives you access to Unstable Temporal Time Shifter and an array of belt enchants that provide unique but very strong utility in dungeons. The Unstable Time Shifter will allow you to resurrect an ally while in combat, which is crucial to being able to do keys as a non Resto Druid. Having a battle res is essential to any level key that you do and it's one of the biggest things we lack, so picking up engineering for access to this item will make a world of difference. The belt enchants that engineering also supplies are very useful, you can either get a personal shield or a single target knockback on a 10 minute cooldown. The knock can be very useful for Sanguine weeks and the shield is always strong for survivability.

Alchemy isn't nearly as vital as Engineering so this one is a bit more up to you. The reason Alchemy is a really good pick up is mainly for the trinket Peerless Alchemist Stone. I go more into why this is such a strong trinket in the next section, but in short it's a very high ilvl trinket with a socket that provides a lot of vers and a large main stat proc. This combined with the unique ability it gives that buffs all potion effectiveness by 40% makes it a very strong choice for mythic+ because of how frequently we use healing potions throughout dungeons. Alchemy is also nice because it increases your flask duration by an hour so if you run Mythic+ a lot you will save a lot of gold.
Enchants and Consumables
Enchants

This is your go to weapon enchant for mythic+ at lower ilvl, but once you hit 35% crit, swap to Quick Navigation instead.
This is your go to ring enchant for mythic+, and similarly to your weapon enchant, if you hit your 40% crit softcap, use Accord of Versatility instead.
Food

Why not crit food? If you use crit food, your food buff will get overwritten if you use any Fish Feast (select the other image for more info on Fish Feasts).
This is your mana regeneration food (instead of water). It regenerates mana 10x faster then water and can even be used with water for extra fast mana regen.
Flask

This is the only flask you should ever use. If you ever think you need a stamina flask, it better be because you're about to do a +30 Tyrannical Tol Dagor.
Potions

Because consecrate gets buffed by intellect, this is your best potion for aoe damage. It's also great for healing if you need a quick single target hps boost.
This is your go to single target dps potion. You should always prepot bosses with this.
These are your healing and mana potions. You rarely have time to use a channeled mana potion in M+, nor should you ever need to.
